Before any discussion of cosmetic dentistry can take place, our journey into any given treatment will always begin with foundations of tooth alignment, material science and aesthetic principles. These underlying themes will ensure our patients receive the appropriate treatment that is predictable and natural looking with changes that will stand the test of time and age naturally.

Cosmetic dentistry has transformed from niche into a cornerstone of modern every day practice, blending artistry, science, and technology that improve both appearance and confidence. Our job is to deliver personalised cosmetic solutions that prioritise natural looking results, long term durability, and what patient wants. Whether it is subtle enhancements in the likes of professional whitening or comprehensive smile makeovers with porcelain veneers, we hope the following can help make informed decisions in your journey.

Cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the aesthetic appeal of teeth, gums and the overall smile while maintaining or enhancing oral function. Unlike general dentistry, which primarily addresses disease prevention and treatment, or restorative dentistry, which repairs damage from decay or trauma, cosmetic dentistry is elective and patient driven. It targets imperfections such as discolouration, misalignment, chips, gaps, or disproportionate tooth shapes to create harmonious, youthful smiles.
The field draws from principles of occlusion (bite alignment), facial proportions, recognising that a confident smile influences social interactions, professional success, and self esteem.
Attractive smiles correlate with positive first impressions and boosts confidence. In our practice, we integrate these elements seamlessly, using evidence-based protocols to ensure outcomes that feel authentic to your unique features.
Cosmetic dentistry is never meant to be for one size that fits all. It require sbroad evaluation: digital smile design software simulates results pre-treatment, while intraoral scanners capture precise 3D anatomy. This technology minimizes surprises, allowing us to preview changes virtually during consultations.

Common Cosmetic Dentistry Procedures
Teeth Whitening
The gateway to cosmetic dentistry, professional whitening traditionally uses hydrogen or carbamide peroxide gels and now singlet oxygen that are activated by LED or lasers for 5-8 shade improvements in one session. In-office treatments can vary from 30-90 minutes. Take home trays extend results 1 to 3 years. It is ideal for extrinsic stains from coffee, tea, red wine or smoking.

Dental Bonding
A conservative, same day option using tooth coloured composite resins shaded to match your enamel. The treatment fixes chips, close gaps, or reshapes small or regular teeth. Lasting 5 to 10 years, it's heavily reliant on tooth adhesion. The practice ensure polish resistant and stain proof finishes mimicking natural lustre of natural teeth.

Porcelain Veneers
Ultra-thin shells of porcelain cover front surfaces of teeth- correcting discolouration, wear, or uneven shapes. They create natural light reflective properties of teeth matching enamel and boast 15 to 20 year longevity but are dependent on care and how teeth naturally come together. Our practice utilises digital mockup for a trial run to preview the outcome before treatment begins.

Crowns and Bridges
Full-coverage crowns restore functionally broken or worn teeth for a natural look with the ideal shape and colour with layered ceramics to replicate translucency gradients.
Bridges can replace a missing tooth aesthetically, suspended by crowns on either side of the missing tooth/teeth.

Orthodontics and Aligners
Clear aligners (Invisalign) straighten teeth without wires, it is ideal for mild to moderate crowding. This is achieved by transparent custom made plastic trays that are FDA approved. They apply gentle and controlled pressure to gradually shift teeth into proper alignment over time.
A 3D scan is performed to create approximately 20-30 aligners that are worn sequentially for 1-2 weeks each for 20-22 hours a day. Each set moves teeth by 0.25 to 0.5mm to address gaps, crowding, rotations and overbites.
They are virtually invisible and are removed for eating and hygiene purposes.

Gum Contouring
This is a minimally invasive procedure to change the level or shape of the gum line, creating a balanced and proportionate smile. It is often done to correct a gummy smile, when gum levels are uneven or when there is excess gum tissue.
The procedure is done with a laser that minimises bleeding and no stitches are required. The recovery is painless and the effects are seen immediately although the fullness is observed until 1-2 weeks later.
